We have been playing many math dice games as a way to review fraction, order of operation, and geometry concepts. It’s a fun method of strengthening everyone’s skills before the summer!
Our end of the year science project is going very well. Dr. Dawson Came into Room 5 two weeks ago to teach a lesson on the Periodic Table of Elements. Students learned how to find each elements’ protons, neutrons, atomic mass, and electrons. From there, we discussed our project and developed a grading rubric as a class. Everyone got to work the next day creating a model of an atom from the element of their group’s choosing. So far, one group has completed their atom mobile, but many other groups are soon to follow.
