Body Maps and Report Progress

Hello All! I hope your Thanksgiving Break was restful and full of laughter and warmth. In Room 5, we are plugging away at our ancient civilization research reports and are ahead of schedule. Most groups have found enough information with at least 2 sources to begin turning their research into paragraphs. Using Google Docs, each group is writing an essay on their civilization together. The students are excited to learn how to write collectively on one document while using separate Chromebooks.

To wrap up our life science unit, each student has created a body map which colorfully illustrates the skeletal, digestive, and respiratory systems. Fun facts were learned about each part of the body, then each student colored, cut-out, and glued parts onto his or her paper body. We are looking forward to a time soon when our class may be able to look through microscopes to see cells, which were carefully studied during our last science project.
